This oilstone is sintered at high temperature, it is red, compact and delicate in structure, with high hardness and strength. It is suitable for processing hardened steel, alloy steel, precision measuring tools and instrument parts with high toughness, such as high finish requirements or sharp cutting tools and repairing workpieces.

The whetstone is marked with #150, #320, #800, #1500, and other numbers.

The smaller the number, the rougher it becomes. In other words, #150 with a smaller number is more capable of grinding, can grind well, and the blade is also very rough.

When choosing according to the type of knife, a general stainless steel universal kitchen knife is recommended, the standard of #1000, the blade is first adjusted with the #150 blade when scraping, and then the #1500 method is used for sharpening.

The blade/sashimi knife (percussion knife) from #800 to #1500 (starting from #150 for blade scrapers) is used together with #1500. The size is small and it is convenient as a pair of sharpening stones, or for narrow kitchen hours.
